The diet that a parrot receives is very often difficult to balance unless fed on a complete feed. When a parrot becomes poorly or has feather problems etc, it is almost always due to missing vitamins and/or minerals in the basic diet.
I always feed my parrots on a well balance complete feed that is tailor made for keeping them in tip-top condition.
From my own experience, I WOULD 'NEVER' FEED MY PARROTS A BASIC LOOSE SEED BASED DIET! No matter how good the quality is, it just isn't enough to keep them in perfect condition.
